Helping first home buyers
By bringing homes within reach
For many Aussies, especially first home buyers, home ownership has never felt further away.
That’s why the Australian Government expanded its 5% Deposit Scheme, and launched a new one called Help to Buy, with the goal of creating a pathway to home ownership for more people.
Our job was to announce these policy changes in a way that was informative and engaging, with the explicit aim pf signalling that help was available nationwide.
So we went to space…
…to see all of Australia and create a sense of size of the problem.Then, we zoomed down into sections of the country, towards homes that initially felt ‘far away’, but were brought ‘within reach‘ thanks to the new schemes.
The homes became the heroes of our campaign - each one a snapshot of daily life from someone who had accessed the scheme, now able to enjoy the permanence and belonging that only owning a home can bring.
Because in many cases, a large percentage had already disqualified themselves, assuming they wouldn’t be eligible. Our goal was to rekindle that hope.
