To cement themselves as the national insurer, AAMI wanted to demonstrate they truly understand our national sport.
Fans have a deep love of the quirks of our game. The athleticism, the weird shaped ball, the bizarre rituals. But these quirks also mean things can go wrong. So we showed why it’s just one of the many reason it’s Lucky You’re With AAMI.

From the big game to the backyard, our game has it’s moments. Our integrated campaign is a tongue in cheek celebration of these quirks, while serving as a reminder how easy AAMI makes it to overcome them.

In AFL footy records and print media, we created an ode to all things that can, and do, go wrong at local footy.
And during the 2024 AFL Grand Final.

Then using the iconic voice of AFL commentary legend Dwayne Russel, we brought this ode to the airwaves.

We always backed this campaign to go through the big sticks.
Turns out the rest of Australia did too - naming it in the top 10 Most Unforgettable ads of 2025, with a hate score of 0%.
Now that’s a win.
